Strategic Sourcing Manager in UK

As our Strategic Sourcing Manager for Stericycle, you will execute Global Sourcing and Procurement efforts within a defined set of categories covering a total annual spend of $25 million in the EMEA region.

Our Strategic Sourcing Manager will focus on working with key stakeholders to review existing categories of spend, and to define and implement category strategies, along with execution of those strategies through professional strategic sourcing to significantly reduce Stericycle costs.

The position will report to the Strategic Sourcing Director EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

• The primary focus of this role will be the management of Procurement activities for Facilities Management and Capex projects and other Procurement categories from time to time (mainly focused on UK and Ireland but may be required to support other countries.)

You’ll serve as the primary champion for cost savings within your assigned categories across all business units of Stericycle EMEA region; you’ll support strategy development for your categories, drive the development of annual strategic sourcing plans, and communicate progress to procurement and stakeholder leadership.

• You’ll own the development and execution of strategies through the strategic sourcing process: you’ll serve as the primary process leader for assigned categories within the procurement function, working with stakeholders to ensure buy in. In addition to supporting the development of sourcing strategies, you’ll also execute them, including leadership and ownership of RFPs and contract negotiations.
• You’ll measure and track internal performance: you’ll be responsible for savings tracking and methodology across all categories, rolling up all metrics for your assigned categories on a regular basis.
• You’ll drive innovative policy and process: you’ll be responsible for positioning Stericycle’s procurement function as a trusted advisor within the company. All procurement policy, process, and tools will be continually evaluated to ensure the team operates in a world class manner.

To Succeed in this role:

• Previous experience on a broad range of Facilities Management and Capex requirements is required: Construction works, plant and equipment purchases, property and equipment repairs. Experience in a range of contract types: JCT, NEC would be beneficial.
• You have strong knowledge of strategic sourcing processes, especially strong technical and analytical skills and have more than 5 years of experience in Procurement.
• You have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint with working knowledge of Project. If you have experience with Coupa it’s a plus.
• You have a bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Operations Management or Supply Chain Management, or the equivalent in related work experience. Chartered Institute of Supply Management (CIPS) certification.
• You can travel up to 10% of time. Travel also varies in frequency and duration.

• You have leadership experience in a team-based environment, like coaching, training, and team member development skills.
• You have great presentation skills (focus on presenting to diverse groups – CEO to Drivers).
• You have previous experience on a broad range of Capex requirements like construction works, plant and equipment purchase and property and equipment repairs.
