Role Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sports Coach to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working with SEND children and a commitment to making sports accessible and enjoyable for all.
This role involves planning and delivering tailored sports sessions, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging sports sessions for children with SEND.
* Adapt coaching methods to suit the abilities and needs of each child.
* Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported.
* Monitor and assess the progress of participants, providing feedback and encouragement.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during sessions.
* Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders.
* Maintain equipment and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the coaching environment.
* Travel to various locations within Brentwood to conduct sessions.
Requirements: * Experience working with children with SEND.
* Relevant coaching qualifications (e.
g.
, Level 1 or 2 in Coaching).
* Strong understanding of various sports and physical activities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Enhanced DBS check, child and adult (or willingness to undergo one).
Desirable: * First Aid certification.
* Additional qualifications in special education or related fields.
