About the Firm: We are working with a leading Scottish law firm with its Head Office in Edinburgh.

The firm has an excellent reputation in various legal sectors including Medical Negligence, Family Law, Immigration, Conveyancing, and Litigation.

Their market-leading Medical Negligence Team, based in Edinburgh, is seeking a talented Solicitor to join their growing and diverse practice.

Job Overview: As a Solicitor in our Medical Negligence team, you will work on cases at all stages (pre-litigation and raised actions) and in a variety of courts, from ASPIC to the Court of Session.

This role involves handling some of the highest value and most complex clinical negligence cases in Scotland, exclusively acting for pursuers.

You will receive first-class training and supervision from our accredited specialist solicitors, working in a friendly environment that encourages teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Case Management: Handle claims at all levels, from lower value Sheriff Court cases to seven-figure complex claims, involving serious and catastrophic injuries such as brain injury, spinal injury, visual impairment, and fatal injuries.
• Litigation: Manage cases at all stages of the legal process, ensuring high-quality work and successful outcomes for clients.
• Client Interaction: Provide excellent communication and client care, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of top-ranked solicitors, contributing to a supportive and effective team environment.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: 1-5 years PQE with some experience in litigating personal injury cases. Direct medical negligence experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Skills: Strong team player with excellent communication and client care skills. Confident, approachable, and capable of managing a varied caseload.
• Qualifications: UK qualified solicitor with a passion for developing knowledge in a specialised area of law and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients.
