About the company

Contechs is recruiting on behalf of its client, a British multinational automobile manufacturer which produces luxury vehicles and sport utility vehicles. They are looking for a Software Engineer to join their expanding team on a Contract basis. The role will be based in Essex on a hybrid basis (must be able to work onsite 3 days per week).

Job Description

As a Software Engineer your main responsibilities are:

• Build, maintain and develop software controls for the vehicle propulsion team
• Respond positively on time limited issues and to prioritise several tasks.

Essential Qualifications / Skills

• C Programming language knowledge and systems engineering from requirement definition, traceability through the design to test and integration using simulated and target environments.
• Knowledge of embedded software development
• Matlab/Simulink
• Degree or significant software experience

Desirable Qualifications / Skills

• Windows
• Jira
• Experience working in agile
• Controls development
• Degree
