OCU Modus (part of the OCU Group ofCompanies) are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join theteam you will be required to cover multiple locations.

The SiteManager plays a crucial role in overseeing construction projectsfrom inception to completion ensuring that they are deliveredsafely on time and within budget.

Reporting to the Project Manageror Construction Manager the Site Manager is responsible formanaging all onsite activities coordinating subcontractors andensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

KeyResponsibilities:

ProjectManagement: Lead and manage construction projectsfrom start to finish including planning scheduling and resourceallocation.

Health andSafety: Ensure that all work on the site complieswith health and safety regulations conducting regular siteinspections and implementing safety measures to protect workers andthe public.

QualityControl: Maintain high standards of workmanship andensure that construction activities meet quality standards andspecifications.

BudgetManagement: Monitor project costs and expensespreparing cost estimates and tracking expenditures to ensure theproject stays withinbudget.

SubcontractorManagement: Coordinate and manage subcontractorssuppliers and vendors ensuring that they deliver work to scheduleand meet quality requirements.

TeamLeadership: Supervise and manage site staffincluding direct employees and subcontractors providing guidancetraining and support asneeded.

ClientCommunication: Maintain regular communication withthe client or project owner providing updates on project progressaddressing concerns and ensuring clientsatisfaction.

Documentation: Keep accurate records of project progress including daily reportssite inspections and any changes or deviations from the originalplans.

RiskManagement: Identify potential risks and hazards onthe site and take proactive measures to mitigate them ensuring asafe working environment forall.

Compliance: Ensure that all work on the site complies with building regulationsplanning permissions and other legal requirements obtainingnecessary permits and approvals as needed.

Skills andQualifications:

Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in theconstruction industry with a track record of successfullydelivering projects on time and withinbudget.

Qualifications: A degree or diploma in construction management civil engineering ora related field is preferred.

Relevant professional certificationssuch as SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or CSCS(Construction Skills Certification Scheme) areadvantageous.

Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills with the ability tomotivate and inspire a diverse team of constructionprofessionals.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the abilityto effectively liaise with stakeholders resolve conflicts andnegotiate with suppliers andsubcontractors.

OrganizationalSkills: Strong organizational and timemanagementskills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multipleprojectssimultaneously.

Problemsolving: A proactive and solutionsoriented approach to problemsolving withthe ability to think creatively and adapt to changingcircumstances.

TechnicalKnowledge: A solid understanding of constructionmethods materials and techniques with the ability to interprettechnical drawings andspecifications.

ComputerSkills: Proficiency in project management softwareand Microsoft Office applications with the ability to generatereports and maintain accurate projectdocumentation.

Attention toDetail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment toensuring that work meets quality standards and regulatoryrequirements.

Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fastpacedenvironment with the ability to handle pressure and meet tightdeadlines.
