Octavius Regional Civil Engineering have been awarded the Highways Term Service Agreement to deliver highways improvement schemes across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole for BCP Council. The contract, (awarded in June 2023), will see us deliver highway and cycleway improvement schemes for the next four years and is extendable for a further six years to May 2033.

As a result we are seeking 2 x Site Managers capable of running £1m - £5m projects.

 

You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)

  • Ensure the team work in a safe, profitable, planned manner to achieve the programme and deliver a quality product and service.
  • Deliver the project works from start to finish and carrying out safety and quality audits.
  • To develop and maintain positive relationships with teams and clients. 
  • Promote and protect the Octavius Infrastructure reputation whilst remaining customer focused and in line with Company policies and values.
  • Lead by example by promoting the collaborative culture throughout the site team, including suppliers and customers.
  • Be responsible for safety first culture onsite.

  • Identifies individuals on site who are keen to develop further

 

You'll bring… (your wealth of experience & qualifications)

  • A Civil, Structural, or Construction Management background on National Highways or local authority networks.
  • Has worked on a broad section of disciplines such as groundwork's, RC structures, drainage, steelwork, and can demonstrate a clear understanding in these areas.
  • Experience of personal responsibility in managing projects up to £3 million.
  • Good level of IT skills.
  • Good level of programming and Conditions of contract (NEC, ICE etc.) knowledge

 

Qualifications:

  • Has an industry recognised qualification such as a Degree, HND, NVQ or similar in a Civil Engineering/Building or related course.
  • Alternatively has gained similar qualities through work related training and experience
  • CSCS Managers card
  • Appointed person CPCS card (desirable)
  • SMSTS competent.
