Shop Assistant

Derwentside IRC

Full time, hours, shift work covering a 7 day period

We are recruiting for a shop assistant to join us at Derwentside Immigration Removal Centre female only accommodation, where we are responsible for all aspects of detainee safety, security and welfare provision, facilities management and catering. 

The shop assistant will provide secure, effective and efficient shop services within Derwentside IRC. The shop assistant will supply a service to residents and colleagues with a customer focused approach.

They key responsibilities of this role are:

  • To provide a service to residents and colleagues with a customer focused approach
  • To ensure supply and demand is managed effectively
  • To ensure stock is maintained, recorded and monitored
  • To perform any other reasonable duties as instructed by the management team
  • To complete all training that is a mandatory requirement

    • What you need to do the job:

    Qualifications:

  • Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 as a minimum

    • Technical:

  • Excellent computer and typing skills inclusive of Microsoft Word and Excel

    • Knowledge & Skills:

  • Stock rotation
  • Excellent Communication skills
