Senior Urban Designer in Blackfriars

Konker is currently recruiting for a Senior Urban Designer to join an award-winning architectural practice based in their modern London office.  

This practice has three studios across the UK and employs a group of roughly 70 staff members.

Due to winning two substantial projects and securing new business, they are recruiting for a dedicated Senior Urban Designer to join their experienced team of 6 other Urban Design professionals.  

They are known for providing services within the architectural, sustainability, and urban design sectors.

Projects wise they work on anything related to the residential developer sector including care homes, retirement villages, small-medium and large housing schemes, master planning, and urban design.  

The role of Senior Urban Designer will involve working on masterplans and designs for housing developments throughout the UK.

You will also look at the overall designs and reviews to improve any existing development and give advice on current projects.   

The role will see you produce design and access statements, feasibility studies and use AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Sketchup.

The ability to produce hand drawings is also advantageous for this position.   

Applicants are expected to have previous experience in residential developments as well as some previous experience in architecture.

For this role, branding and social media marketing are not the type of graphic design the company is looking for.

The recently refurbished London office is within a 5-minute walk from Blackfriars tube station.  

The Role: Urban Designer Produce masterplans and designs for UK housing developments  Seek for improvements in existing developments   Offer advice on current projects  Experience in using AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Sketchup  Work within a busy Urban Design team  The salary for this position ranges from £32,000 to £48,000 depending on previous experience and they offer regular mentoring and support, if needed.
