The role holder will be required to cover shifts Monday to Friday 8 to 20.00, and 8 to 18.00, plus on-call work.Senior Theatre Practitioner Duties:• Deliver safe quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care.• To support, coordinate, and actively assist in the management and organization of care within the operating department.• Provide quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care by ensuring all team members deliver quality patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership.• Lead in the delivery of patient care, during a list or specified period of time.• Ensure that patient safety checks are carried out in accordance with the policy and that all practitioners adhere to the policy.• Contribute to quality improvement.• Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self.• Promote best evidence-based practice within own scope of practice.• Apply legislation, policies, and procedures correctly.• Achieve agreed objectives and demonstrate CHG behaviors at all timesSenior Theatre Practitioner criteria:• Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.• Post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty i.e. Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification (for scrub leads).• ENB 998 and/or mentorship course.• Approved/recognized anaesthetic course.• ILS.• Orthopaedic skill• Mentorship qualification• ILM3• Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.• Previous experience managing and leading a clinical team.Senior Theatre Practitioner Salary & Benefits• 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with service• Private Pension Scheme• Private Healthcare Scheme for treatment at our hospitals, covering pre-existing medical conditions• Friends & Family Hospital Discounts• Family-Friendly policies, including enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption pay• Non-contributory life insurance• Staff engagement hub with access to discounts and extensive rewards and voluntary benefits• Access to resources, tools, and services to support your wellbeing• Employee recognition programs• Industry-leading training and development opportunitiesDoes this sound like your next opportunity?
