About the client:

My client is a Global highly reputable company who specialise in distributing bespoke Automation solutions. They work on a diverse range of projects and are considered market leaders in their field.

The role:

The ability to design Software and systems to specification, cost and time targets.
You will be responsible for working alongside the Electrical and Mechanical teams to integrate all disciplines into the design.
Collaborating with the Production Engineers to ensure products are designed for maufacturing.
A track record of carrying out unit tests at all phases of the Development cycle.
You will be accountable for contributing to design standard compliance including CE / UK CA approvals.
Provide progress of all projects to The Engineering and Project Management teams.
Ability to problem solve in both legacy and new special purpose machines.

Essential Skills

Strong proficiency in C#, .Net, VB.Net and SQL.
Proven track record in writing software drivers for hardware devices.
Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in Software Development.
Deep understanding of communication protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, RS232).
Previous exposure with debugging machines (electrical, mechanical and software).
Experienced with GIT.
The ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
