At the heart of West London, the West London Waste Authority champions the forefront of sustainability. We are now looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Site Manager to lead our Abbey Road Reuse and Recycling Centre. This role is crucial for someone passionate about driving significant advancements in our Household Reuse and Recycling Centres (HRRCs) and local waste transfer stations.

Your Role: A Blend of Leadership and Environmental Advocacy

As our Senior Site Manager, you'll ensure the centre operates with excellence in customer service and adherence to strict health, safety, and environmental standards. You will oversee a committed team of up to 30 operational staff, manage fiscal responsibilities, and spearhead initiatives to boost reuse and repair, directly contributing to the sustainability goals of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategically manage the daily operations of our waste transfer sites and HRRCs, aligning with budget constraints and Service Level Agreements.
• Cultivate a robust culture of health, safety, and environmental protection.
• Guarantee adherence to all regulatory and environmental permits.
• Lead, inspire, and develop the site team, promoting ongoing professional growth.
• Strengthen partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the operational budget, ensuring financial efficiency and analysing fiscal performance.
• Initiate and lead projects focused on materials repair and reuse to enhance revenue and reduce expenses.

Who We Need:

• Proven track record in managing complex teams through significant changes and adept at handling crises with composed efficacy.
• Essential qualifications include IOSH/NEBOSH General Certificate or COTC level 4 (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge of environmental waste, plant operations, and health and safety legislation.
