The Role

As a member of the Advantage Finance Credit Risk Team, your position as Senior Risk Analyst will allow you to provide analytical insight into customer behaviour, helping shape and enhance the firms credit and affordability strategy.


You’ll be leading the development, documentation and delivery of risk scorecards and affordability models, employing relevant statistical techniques across Credit Risk, Economic Crime and Collections & Recoveries.

With access to a wide range of internal and external data sources such as CRA information, several aspects of credit risk will be explored, including the development and validation of scorecards, policy rules, and affordability models, whilst ensuring regulatory compliance.


Role Requirements

  • Experience of credit risk lending and developing strategies in a consumer lending organisation.
  • Experience in delivering risk scorecards and/or machine learning models using coding in SAS/Python/R or similar.
  • Be an effective planner, prioritising activities and working within the team to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to condense and simplify complex information to brief and influence senior stakeholders with experience in data analysis.
  • Experience of building trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience of translating complex methodologies and principles into meaningful insight for senior leadership and other non-technical stakeholders.
  • Capability to support multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment and prioritise effectively to manage various management team / other stakeholder expectations.
  • Liase with other departments or external agencies – e.g. Credit Bureau – on any current or future initiatives.
