Join this Main Contractor and their family run construction company who are dedicated to their projects. They are one of the leading construction companies in UK and Ireland who pride themselves in delivering landmark projects for their clients.

We are seeking a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on £40M total strip out of an existing 7 storey Hotel back to shell and core. The space will then be reconfigured;

• 231 bedroom high spec 4 star hotel
• New spa leisure area in the lower ground floor complete with swimming pool and gym
• Additional outdoor space is created adjacent to the spa area to provide outdoor facilities for the gym and spa areas
• On the ground and first floors a new reception, bar and restaurant is created along with meeting and conference rooms

• Aggressive 58 week programme with a 2 phase handover
• Must be willing to be site based

Our client works with the likes of Google, Hotel Inn, Premier Inn and many more in sectors such as Health Care, Data Centres, Hotels along with Residential and Commercial our client covers a diverse range of medium to large-scale projects.

Job details:

• You will be a site based QS **
• Conduct cost estimates and budget analyses for construction projects
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitor project progress and costs, identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and quality standards
• Provide expert advice on costeffective construction methods and materials
• Assist in resolving disputes and claims related to cost and contracts
• Work alongside another Senior Quantity Surveyor

Experience required:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with a Main Contractor in the UK
• Ideally have experience with hotel/leisure or commercial projects
• A degree in quantity surveying or related field
• Proven experience with liaising with clients, stake holders and team members
• Showcase longevity in permanent positions
