Apply NowA leading Scottish Civil Engineering Main Contractor are actively seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position in the West of Scotland.
This is an ideal role if you enjoy being based on site, being fully immersed in a project, and working collaboratively with clients.
Projects vary from Heavy Civils, Windfarms, Large Earthworks, Infrastructure and more.
What you’ll be doing: * The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing tender and contract documents, including performing risk, value management and cost control; * You will perform cost analysis, seek funding options and prepare and approve final accounts for submission; * Working on civil engineering and various infrastructure projects, you will also be responsible for managing costs from inception to completion to minimise cost and maximising value for money.
* You will be based by and largely on site, implementing a hands on approach to Quantity Surveying; * You will be expected to run your own projects with the assistance of a team of AQS and QS's.
What you’ll need to be successful: * The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified, with at least an HNC in Quantity Surveying; * Experience with a Main Contractor, although any civil engineering background will be considered; * At least 6+ years’ post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying; * Confident and comfortable working on multiple projects and sites.
