Across the City and Hackney Health and Care system, there are a number of organisations and programmes working to improve outcomes for children and young people. These partnership organisations are using digital tools which are currently working in a fragmented and isolated way. This leads to gaps, delays and inefficiencies in support and care for children and families. As system partners together, there is an urgent need to develop and implement an Integrated Digital Access Strategy for our Children, Young People and Families.

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Product Manager to carry out a discovery and use those findings to help us design and develop an Integrated Digital Access Strategy and Implementation Plan.

This work will include baseline scoping to help identify and map the digital interfaces being used by children and families across the health and care system. It will help us understand current ‘ways of working’ in terms of organisational processes in place around using digital systems. We also want to understand the governance and information sharing landscape that exists currently, and work with partners to agree the exact scope of the work and any formal partnership arrangements that need to exist. You’ll set up a strategic oversight board that will assist in helping direct and priortise this work.

You’ll be working with a wide range of partners, including London Borough of Hackney, City & Hackney NHS and other clinical services. Working collaboratively to explore opportunities where integrated technology solutions can improve services for children and families, enhance staff productivity and streamline communication and information sharing is integral to the success of this work.

About you

We value empathy, open mindedness and a real passion for delivering good public services.

You’ll have experience in product management, in a senior role, and preferably will have worked in central government, local government, or public sector organisations. An understanding of childrens’s social care would be advantageous.

You’ll have worked on multiple products and services which deliver value for users and take a user-centred approach to problem solving.

You’re able to work in a fast-paced environment with a pragmatic approach.

You will have evidenced experience of communicating work effectively, showing impact and value.
