Our client have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Policy Adviser to join the team.Location: London, or RemoteSalary: £42,621 (London) / £39,676 (outside London)Job Type: Permanent, Full timeClose Date: Monday 8 July 2024 at 12:00pm (midday)About Us:The Electoral Commission is the independent body that regulates party and election finance, sets standards for well-run elections and encourages people to register to vote.Senior Policy Adviser – The Role:The Senior Policy Advisor works as part of a team helping to lead the Electoral Commission’s response to an exciting range of policy challenges and major new elections legislation across the UK, promoting the Commission’s policy agenda.Under the guidance of the Policy Manager, this position provides expert policy advice and insight to leadership on a range of matters.Senior Policy Adviser – Key Responsibilities:- Providing flexible policy analysis- Analysing and commenting on draft legislation- Briefing policy makers in Government and key internal stakeholders on relevant proposals and reform- You will be involved in research and analysis projects regarding political finance and electoral administration matters.
