This is a great opportunity to get involved in exciting automation projects at the forefront of technology.Senior Mechanical Design Engineer £45,000 - £60,000 + paid overtime, pension & 25 days holiday38 hour week - early Friday finish.Manchester based.Ref: 22927Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - The Role:To understand customer requirements from discussions/technical documentation.Produce customer sign off and technical documentation such as functional design specifications and system manuals.Produce accurate, functional and cost-effective components and assemblies using 3D Solidworks CAD software.Produce accurate 2D detail and assembly drawings to convey manufacturing and assembly information.Produce accurate bills of materials, suitable for component procurement, spare parts lists and assembly recordsLiaise with electrical design and controls engineers to determine suitable system requirements.Support the machine commissioning activities in collaboration with the commissioning team to help ensure a successful FAT & SAT.Provide occasional site support for customer meetings, projects scoping and SAT activities.Carry out design calculations either by hand or using software to verifying suitability and performance.Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - The Person:HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar disciplineAble to produce 2D/3D drawings and modelsExperience with Solidworks 3D software is essential for this role.Experience with PDM / Vault software highly desired. Experience designing Special Purpose Machinery, Robotics, Vision or Sensor systems would be highly advantageous.An understanding of UKCA/CE Technical file creation.Experienced in creating design documentation such as Functional Design Specifications.Experience of FEA Analysis and calculations.Situated in the North West region, this position would be ideal for candidates residing in Manchester, Oldham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Denton, Stockport, Cheadle & all surrounding areas. AE1By applying for this role, you are consenting for Automation Experts Ltd to hold and process your data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.Due to high volumes of applications we may not be able to contact each and every person.Automation Experts are unable to assist with the award of Visas or UK Work Permits.There are many more vacancies available on our website – (url removed)
