Due to ambitious growth plans and continued success, our client is looking for a Senior Materials Engineer with a strong attention to detail and high-quality communication skills to join their growing team.

What you'll need:

• be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Materials Science, Engineering, Metallurgy or comparable through experience.
• experience (minimum 5 years) working in a laboratory or materials testing environment.
• with experimental techniques for materials analysis, e.g. mechanical testing, optical microscopy, electron microscopy and surface characterisation techniques.
• of quality management, problem-solving methodologies, failure investigations and process improvement techniques.

What you'll be doing:

• a leading role in the delivery of strategic technology, innovation and growth projects with clients, research partners and extended industry stakeholders around the world.
• research and technology development project work involving a high degree of specialist knowledge, including the application of sound experimental and computational skills.
• closely with colleagues, customers, research partners and industry stakeholders to deliver commercially successful outcomes.
• up-to-date expert knowledge of industrial products, processes, technologies and analytical techniques to ensure the business is always able to offer industry-leading services.
• the employer at conferences, trade shows and other industry events to promote key products and services.
• and delivering customer-focused technical proposals, which are both cost-effective and timely, to existing and new facilities within the industry.
