Senior Legal Counsel in London

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a large company which operates in the education sector, providing accessible education and qualifications from institutions across Europe, Asia and North America, as well as online learning options. Their in-house legal services team is expanding, and they are seeking a senior commercial legal counsel to join them on a permanent basis.

Please note this role is based in their London office, on a hybrid basis.

You will structure, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including partnership agreements, terms and conditions, licences and platform agreements. In particular, you must be familiar with education technology agreements.

You will also work in collaboration with their sales, procurement and marketing teams, and you will be expected to line manage two junior members of staff. You will report to the Group General Counsel.

To apply you will be:

• A UK-qualified solicitor, admitted to the SRA for England and Wales, having trained in a large city or nationally recognised firm
• At least 7 years PQE, with a broad range of commercial contracts experience
• Happy to line manage two junior members of staff
• Able to commute to the office in Central London on a hybrid basis

The salary for this role is up to £100,000 per annum.
