What experience are we looking for?

• Proven experience of helping organisations enhance and introduce their security measures to protect against potential threats and risks.
• You have conducted employee training and awareness sessions where you have provided details of training programs, to help educate staff about security and best practices.
• You have experience of creating detailed security plans for organisations, specified to their needs and requirements. Outlining various aspects of security, including access control, data protection, incident response, and compliance.
• Experience of conducting risk assessments and mitigations. Support organisations by implementing measures to mitigate these risks effectively.
• You have built incident response plans, including procedures for detecting, analysing, and responding to security incidents.
• Good working knowledge of security controls and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, multi-factor authentication and security monitoring tools)
• You are passionate about continuous improvement in security practices and can demonstrate how you would regularly review and update security controls, conduct security assessments and stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

• Identifies risks, issues and changing circumstances related to own scope and take adequate actions and communicates the implications on results, scope and resources with limited support.
• Able to cope in unexpected or difficult circumstances, reaches out and provides push-back where relevant.
• Able to interact professionally with clients and own organisation at relevant levels with ease.
• Maintains active contact with stakeholders, proactively reports on project progress to the client.
• Works effectively within a team to achieve joint results and facilitates good social interaction within the team.
• Lives Valcon values and acts as a good role model both internally and externally.
• Actively transfers own expert knowledge to relevant colleagues and clients where applicable.
• Takes responsibility for parts of Valcon development initiatives and innovation (standard approaches, tools, products, trainings etc.) within own capability/sector and/or via other internal activities.
