Senior HR Advisor - Avonmouth

We’re currently seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join our fantastic team at our Avonmouth site.

Primarily supporting our incredible Logistics division, who have just been recognised as a “gold standard” employer and placed within the top 50 Inspiring Workplaces Awards 2024 in the UK and Ireland, you’ll be the first point of contact for all things HR!


Reporting into the HR Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to build skills and experience in food manufacturing and logistics environments, providing support and guidance to our leadership teams on everything from employee relations to engagement to learning and development!

Key Responsibilities:


As a Senior HR Advisor, you’ll be passionate about our people and enjoy building strong relationships with all our colleagues and their representatives, bringing a positive, encouraging and people-centric approach to your work.

Cross functional collaboration will come naturally to you; you’ll work alongside the HR Manager to align and execute our People plan, championing change and the development of our teams.


A big part of your role will be to effectively manage employee relations cases, coaching and guiding our managers and working closely with the HR Manager ensuring fair and effective resolution in line with the appropriate Company Policy.

You’ll also have the opportunity to work as part of a cross-functional HR team to develop and enhance HR practices and processes, contributing to the overall effectiveness and innovation of the HR function.


Do you have...?


  • A proactive approach to employee engagement and staff development.
  • Appropriate HR experience within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law.
  • Experience of managing disciplinary and grievance processes, up to and including dismissal. It would be desirable if this is within a unionised environment.
  • Desirable:
  • SAP Time and attendance experience.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or be working towards this.
