Senior Financial Analyst in Glasgow

We are delighted to be working with a valued client who are looking for a qualified accountant with a natural commercial outlook to join their successful finance team.

As Senior Financial Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role, contributing to accurate reporting, strategic planning, and efficient processes and working closely with key stakeholders, at all levels.

You will collaborate closely with functional leadership and ensure robust financial management.

Your analytical mindset and accounting expertise will help drive success.

What will you be doing?

• Manage month-end processes, ensuring precise cost allocation and timely accruals.
• Communicate actual vs. forecast/plan variance and present financial insights to senior management.
• Construct detailed annual plans for multiple cost centres.
• Align expectations with key stakeholders.
• Evaluate new spending requests with a clear rationale.
• Develop a comprehensive 5-year plan across all cost centres.
• Contribute to our strategic roadmap.
• Overseeing cost recharges across diverse regional customers.
• Serve as the go-to resource for recharge-related queries.
• Collaborate on reporting and report development.
• Champion process enhancements based on root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant with minimum 2 years post qual experience in industry
• Strong analytical skills and experience in reporting and analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation.
