£110,000 - £120,000 per annum

Location: London (1 x a week)

La Fosse have partnered with a hypergrowth fintech who are looking for a Senior Data Engineer.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for taking the lead on mission-critical data projects that drive the development of our clients new data platform.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in cloud-native data warehousing and AWS technologies to architect and build scalable and efficient data solutions.

You will work with a team of skilled engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build a brand new data platform
• Provide technical leadership and direction to the data engineering team, ensuring successful project execution.
• Utilize your strong software engineering skills to create robust and efficient data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Drive containerization initiatives using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring optimal deployment and scalability of data applications.
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with Terraform to manage and automate cloud infrastructure.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices, integrating new technologies and methodologies where appropriate.
• Later in this road map – live streaming of data will be utilised

Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and Snowflake data warehousing.
• Experienced in Kotlin (preferably) or Java/ Scala etc
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed technical decisions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
