Our web applications and APIs are now used by more than 15,000 end users in large clients including Barclays, Lloyds, NatWe st, and A on, as well as powering digital journeys for high growth challengers such as Tide, GoHenry, Mettle, Caxt on, and hundreds more.

Having established a roster of blue-chip enterprise clients in the UK, FullCircl is now looking to expand its reach through continued investment in the platform and exciting partnerships with category leading vendors including Acturis, nCino and IDNow.

We have more than doubled in size over the past two years and is now a scale business that has been profitable since early 2022.

FullCircl was formed in 2021 following the merger of Artesian Solutions and DueDil. In September 2023 FullCircl acquired W2 Global Data Solutions. FullCircl is backed by top-tier investors which include Octopus Investments, Notion Capital, Augmentum Fintech and notable angel investors which include Dr Steve Garnett (EMEA Chairman SFDC).

The Role

Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a senior data engineer to join our team and to work on a variety of assignments alongside our product and commercial management teams. The role will require you to travel at least once every two weeks on a Wednesday to our London office. Duties will include cloud infrastructure development as well as working closely with our product teams on existing projects and new innovations to support company growth and profitability.

Ke y Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark, Google PubSub etc.
• Optimising data storage and retrieval systems for maximum performance using both relational an d NoSQL databases.
• Continuously monitoring and improving the performance of our data solutions to meet our clients' needs.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Contributing to the development of best practices and standards for data engineering within the organization.
• Developing and implementing data models and algorithms to support data science and machine learning initiatives.

Technical Requirements

• Proven track record leading complex ETL and Data Infrastructure projects, as well as designing and building data intensive applications and services.
• Experience with data processing and distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark Expert knowledge in one or more of the following languages - Python, Scala, Java, Kotlin
• Deep knowledge of data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques
• Experience with databases, both relational as well as NoSQL
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Familiarity with Unix systems, common command line tools e.g., grep, awk and source control tools e.g., git
• Familiarity with Machine Learning and Statistics a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
