About The Role

We’re looking for a driven and proactive Senior Analyst to join our exciting and ever-growing UK Retail Business, focusing on Commercial Finance performance.

You’ll own development of the Commercial P&L, which drives performance of our retail business through investigation, analysis and the implementation of accurate forecast models.

Working with Senior Management, Finance Teams, Traders, Supply chain and the wider Commercial team, you’ll impact AO performance and strategy.

We know we work better when we’re together, so all our AOers come into the office Monday to Friday. We collaborate more easily, have continual conversations, we’re more creative, give better support, and all this makes us more motivated and even better at what we do.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Produce, develop, and distribute UK Retail P&L
  • Understand key drivers of revenue and profitability
  • Produce reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Build forecasting models on performance and future value.
  • Analyse market share and areas of over/under performance
  • Support the business for all relevant sales and profitability metrics
  • A Few Things About You

  • Numerical degree in maths, statistics, economics, accounting or a business-related discipline
  • Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • Experience of working within a commercial, analytical, or accounting function
  • Highly numerate/analytical mindset
  • Can manage a team
  • Confidence to challenge and offer recommendations
  • Logical, can-do attitude
  • A Bit About Us

When it comes to appliances and electricals, we’ve got the lot. Washing machines? Yep. TVs? Check. Laptops? Absolutely. Everything except doorbells (just kidding, we’ve got those too).

We’re known for helping our customers brilliantly - and it’s no different for AOers. We care about more than what’s on your CV, because together we can do extraordinary things.

    Our Benefits

    As an AOer, you’ll have access to tonnes of benefits, put together to cover the moments that matter to you. Further details are available on our benefits page;

  • Our Value Creation Plan; We've created a unique long term bonus plan for every AOer to share in our success, giving you the opportunity of an exceptional reward in return for exceptional business performance.
  • Holidays; 25 days, plus bank holidays (increasing to 27 days after 2 years with us!)
  • Pension; Contribute 5% of your annual salary and we'll do the same, giving you a little extra support for the future.
  • Be VIP at the AO Arena; we have loads of opportunities to win free tickets and pre-sale access!
  • Health & wellbeing; discounted gym membership, an onsite spa and our Help @ Hand scheme giving you access to virtual GP’s, Mental Health support and much more.

    About AO Retail Limited

When it comes to appliances and electricals, we’ve got the lot. Washing machines? Yep. TVs? Check. Mobiles? Absolutely. Everything except doorbells (just kidding, we’ve got those too).

We’re the UK’s most trusted electricals retailer, and making customers happy is at the heart of everything we do. It’s such a big deal at AO that even our logo is smiling!

And it’s no different for AOers. We care about more than what’s on your CV, because together we can do extraordinary things.

AOers are the kind of people you want on your team. Whether they work in our Recycling plant in Telford or in one of our 19 depots across the UK - they’re 100% themselves.

There’s no need to jump through hoops, because we want to see go-getters thrive – and the business, of course. That’s why it’s instinctive to care about the work, because every AOer has a huge part to play. We work at AO speed, but we’re not busy fools. Our time’s too valuable for that.

Becoming the destination for electricals isn’t a solo gig, so we’re serious about getting together. We think we’re better that way - like Ant & Dec or fish, chips & mushy peas. Whether we’re in the same meeting room or different locations, we work as one AO.
