The Offer 

As the Registered Manager, you will take responsibility and proactive actions in maintaining and ensuring standards of care within the home are compliant with CQC regulations, the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and as amended and all CCHT’s policies and procedures.

You will maintain levels of professional conduct, continuing professional development, leadership and accountability for the care and activities within the of the home in line with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 and the host borough quality monitoring team.

In line with CCHT’s philosophy and values you will be responsible for the overall day- to-day care provided in the home and within available resources. Presenting leadership and management of the team to ensure that residents receive high standards of person-centred care to ensure their safety, security and wellbeing, considering and responding to differing individual choices and needs.

About You

This role provides an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for providing care.

The following are considered essential: 




  • Ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgement. 

  • Significant experience of delivering and monitoring service quality.

  • Experience of forming effective internal and external working relationships at all levels.

  • Strong experience of recruiting and the performance management of a team. 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of a Registered Home Manager. Confirmation in post is subject to being accepted by CQC as the registered manager. 

  • Comprehensive understanding of how to support people with dementia within a positive risk-taking framework which maximizes dignity and choice. 

  • Detailed knowledge of the care standards and compliance requirements of the Care Quality Commission.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding issues, proactively ensuring that people are kept safe, protected from harm.

  • Good knowledge of local and national health and social care legislation, policy and practice relating to older people.

  • Excellent written, communication and IT skills. 

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills. 

  • Candidates should have their Level 5 Health and Social Care Diploma, or equivalent.
