Senior CAD Technician in Leatherhead

Senior CAD Technician - £35,000 - £45,000 based in Leatherhead, SurreyThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior CAD Technician to join an extremely well established company withing the Building Services industry.

The successful candidate will be working as part of the project BIM team, you will be responsible for delivering complex multi service, co-ordinated and engineered solutions across all aspects of the project including plant spaces and distribution.

Responsibilities:• Modelling fully coordinated and engineered solutions.

• Full clash detection and checking of your work and the work of others.

• Production of Single Service Drawings from the 3D modelled environment.

• Incorporating comments into both 2D and 3D environments.

• Mentoring and training of less experienced team members.

• Attending site meetings with clients.

• Raising technical queries.

• To complete and progress pre-drawing checklists with the client• Identify and price variation works not contained within our scope of work• Carry out site surveysSkills/attributes:You will need to have a comprehensive knowledge of all Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health services.

You will be capable of working on complex areas of multi service co-ordination, using your own initiative to resolve technical and co-ordination issues.

• Fully conversant in all aspects of Revit, CAD and Navis.

• A sound understanding of BIM and be able to deliver both the LOD and LOI requirements.

• A comprehensive understanding of structural and architectural drawings and the build process.

• A comprehensive understanding of service engineering principals and best practice.

• Capable of coordinating complex and technical areas.

• Understanding manufacturing and prefabrication detailing.

• Extensive building services experience working for a contractor or in the consultancy sector.

• Capable of communicating with the Client / Design team over technical issues.
