Senior Business Development Manager in London

Blue Legal have partnered with a leading City-based law firm who seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join their team based in London. The successful candidate will drive BD and Marketing initiatives across the firm’s Private Client practice group. This involves working closely with partners and stakeholders to create and execute strategic plans, develop new product offerings and lead on pitch opportunities to raise profile of the group and overall firm.

The Responsibilities

• Leading the BD & Marketing function for the PC Group, acting as a strategic advisor to key stakeholders and ensuring cross-practice collaboration.
• Creating and executing strategic BD & Marketing plans with Partners to drive top-line growth, including personal BD & Marketing plans for individual Partners.
• Developing, managing, and delivering specific go-to-market campaigns, as well as leading on relevant pitch opportunities from start to finish.
• Reporting to various groups, providing information for Board reports, and managing legal and sector directory submissions.
• Working alongside the Head of PR & Communications and external PR agencies to strengthen relationships with journalists and editors.
• Managing key client accounts, developing new product offerings, and defining effective routes to market through sector marketing campaigns and client development activities.
• Managing budgets, ensuring up-to-date materials and public information, championing best practices, using relevant technology/tools, and delegating tasks with continuous feedback.

The Candidate:

• Previous experience working within a legal / professional services firm.
• Proven track record of leading BD & marketing at a senior level within a partnership environment.
• Able to build credible relationships with Partners and ability to influence accordingly.
• International experience would be ideal, but not essential.
