Role Purpose

The Senior Business Change Manager is responsible for leading complex business change initiatives with a strong emphasis on organizational design. The role focuses on designing and implementing changes to organisational structures, roles, and processes to meet strategic business objectives.

This role requires a strong understanding of organisation design principles and change management good practice, combined with excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

The role is part of the Value Management Office (VMO) team and will work directly with C-level stakeholders and executive leadership across LRQA. The VMO is focused on governing all aspects of LRQA transformation, including accountability for a portfolio of business change projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex business change initiatives from inception through to completion.
• Develop and implement change management strategies and plans to ensure successful adoption and sustainability of changes. Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
• In collaboration with subject matter experts, design and implement new organizational structures, roles and processes to optimize efficiency and align with strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align organizational design initiatives with business goals and to apply best practice organisation design principles.
• Apply best-practice change management techniques to implement new operating models and organisation designs without negative impact on business performance.
• Build and deliver a comprehensive communication strategy as part of change implementation, utilising established internal communication channels and tools.
• Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their needs, manage expectations, and ensure project alignment with business objectives.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to design and deliver business changes, gather feedback, and drive decision-making.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption of new processes, systems, or structures.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and report on project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and promoting best practices in project management, business change, and organizational design.

Requirements

• Minimum of years of experience in leading complex business change, with an emphasis on organisation design / implementation and business transformation.
• A proven track record of successfully leading large-scale business change initiatives that involve organizational change and redesign within international businesses.
• Excellent understanding of organizational design principles, methodologies, and good practice, and a proven specialism in delivering major projects of this type.
• Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools and evidence of successful delivery of complex change.
• Robust project management skills, with experience using project management tools and methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate at executive level.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with personal drive and self-sufficiency.
• PMP, PRINCE, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.

Note that this role will be based in either our Birmingham or London office, with a hybrid working model that includes a minimum of x days per week in the office.
