Flourish Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching assistant to support in a SEND provision, within a 2-form entry, ‘good’ rated, Junior School in Tipton.

The school introduced a focus provision for pupil with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), this includes a specialist ‘Hub’, which supports 10 pupils with Autism.

This provision provides SEND Teaching Assistants, who support pupils on a 1-1 and small group intervention basis, this also includes a SEND Teacher who plans and implements individual work programmes for the pupils.

The responsibilities of this SEND Teaching Assistant role include, working with pupils with ASD, on a small group intervention and 1-1 basis, to work closely with the SEND class Teacher and SENCO, providing feedback, performing observations and assessments and following EHCPs.

This SEND Teaching Assistant role is a full-time, long-term position, starting in September and is to continue until the end of the academic year.

Required skills and experience for this SEND Teaching Assistant role:Level 2 or above in a relevant Teaching Assistant (TA) / Learning Support Assistant (LSA)/ Learning Support Practitioner (LSP) qualification.

Previous experience working with children with SEND (preferred if you have experience working with children with Autism)Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in Primary SchoolsTo be able to work effectively and efficiently alongside the Class Teacher.

Working as an SEND Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education you will receive excellent benefits including:A competitive salary of up to £98.

41 per day which equates to £19,189.

95 based on working 5 days a week for the full school year.

The option of PAYE or Umbrella.

Holiday Pay - for PAYE candidates you accrue this at 14.

36% of your day rate.
