Could you make a positive impact on young people's lives?Empowering Learning are looking for SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist and bespoke school situated in Newark, Nottinghamshire.The role is supporting the schools pupils in and out of the classroom, with their learning and behavioural needs. Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is favourable. Experience within the a sector with transferrable skills may also be considered.Required Experience:Have experience working with young peopleBe highly organised with excellent communication skillsHave a desire to work with, inspire and support childrenHave an interest in supporting young people with a variety of SENDHave experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable not essential)Be able to supply school with teaching referencesBe a part of the school team taking part in the wider school environmentHave an understanding of behavioural managementMain Responsibilities:Supporting the class teacher and other teaching assistants in the day to day running of the classSupporting children during lessons/school activitiesSupporting staff/children during lunch and break timesManaging pupils personalised learning based on their individual need.Delivering 1:1 or small group activitiesCollecting evidence of children's work to support their assessmentProviding physical management and care of pupilsBenefits:Dedicated consultant allocated to support you with any questions or concernsCV writing supportFast, effective compliance service£150 Referral scheme for Teachers and Teaching AssistantsAccess to training workshops and CPD courses to provide professional development.Empowering Learning Ltd. are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expect all staff to show this commitment.The successful candidate will be required to complete Disclosure and Barring Service declarations in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997.
