Position: SEN Teaching Assistant, Location: Wirral, Start Date: September About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of a supportive team, working closely with students who have a range of special educational needs. Your role will involve providing tailored support to ensure each student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about helping children with SEN reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide individualised support. Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans. Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Monitor and report on student progress, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals. Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among students.Requirements: Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting. A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A relevant qualification in education or care is desirable but not essential.To be considered for this position you will: - have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system - Be a committed professional - Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person -Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work) -have satisfactory references -have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained; - Have the legal right to work in the UK.
