SEN Teaching Assistant - Erdington - September 2024Academics are supporting a SEN College in Erdington with their search for Teaching Assistants in preparation for September. We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants who have a passion for working with Special Educational Need students and who can commit to long term / day to day roles. You will be caring, patient and hard working in order to help students make progression.Working with Special Educational needs is a rewarding role for a person with a helpful and compassionate attitude. The college supports students from the age 19 - 25 years with diverse SEN needs therefore you must have (or be willing to take out) a child and adult DBS.The Role:One to one support - supporting students with severe Autism & PMLDFollowing safeguarding guidelines appropriatelyAssisting class teacher with student support.Liaising with parents and teachers regarding progress and specialised individual programmes.Be willing to support students out on work placementsRequirements:Teaching Assistant Qualification / EquivalentExperience in supporting children/adults with SEN needsMinimum of 2 years' experience of supporting SEN needsAvailable Full Time or Part TimeAble to travel to Erdington
