This role does not offer sponsorship.We are looking for an SEN Teacher to join our team at our team at Underley Garden School based in Kirkby Lonsdale.Purpose of the JobYou will be working with the Headteacher on developing a curriculum and developing the school. You will create a positive and safe learning environment for the pupils and promote positive relationships between peers. We are looking for SEN Teachers who have a therapeutic approach to their teaching and learning. Teachers with a background in Early Years and Primary Teaching would be suitable for this position but must be prepared to teach students of all ages. Experience of working with Autistic pupils, willingness to teach and lead on a curriculum area(s). We need people who share our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world. Educated to Qualified Teacher Status, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential. About UsUnderley Garden School is a large school with small class sizes, focusing on pupils and young people, aged 5-19, who have a range of complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities, including complex communication, sensory and behavioural needs associated with their disabilities.Our School adopts a holistic, person-centred approach to the development of our young people and endeavours to ensure that they achieve as high a standard as possible.
