Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a well-established Accountancy practice based on the northern outskirts of Sheffield.
They are recruiting for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their team. The successful applicant will assist with the growing workload, working within a small team predominantly preparing and submitting financial statements for a variety of businesses ranging from sole traders to limited companies and SMEs. You will ideally have at least three years' practice experience, excellent organisational skills, and an enthusiastic attitude towards work.
Key Duties:
• Preparing and submitting statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Preparing personal and business tax computations
• Reviewing and submitting VAT returns
• Training junior members of staff when required
• Processing payroll & RTI submissions
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries where necessary
Required Skills:
• At least three years prior experience in practice
• ACCA/ACA/AAT are welcome to apply
• A good working knowledge of Xero, Sage, and BTC would be advantageous
• Good experience preparing financial statements is essential
