About the Role: As a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students within a nurturing educational environment.

Your responsibilities will include:Providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.

Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Management Plans (BMPs).

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through mentoring and guidance.

Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students.

Monitoring progress and reporting back to the SENCO and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements: To excel in this role, you will need:Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.

Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.

Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A proactive approach to supporting the educational and emotional development of students.
