A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Security Manager to join the Security team at The Berkeley and The Emory.

Situated on Knightsbridge and overlooking Hyde Park, The Emory presents 61 contemporary suites set over nine floors.

As a Security Manager you will be managing the daily functions of the Security Department to ensure protection of properties assets, employees, guests, accidents, fire prevention and response including relevant F&B areas within The Berkeley and The Emory.

Main responsibilities of the Security Manager include, but are not limited to:

• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Security Director.
• Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager.
• Encourage and motivate employees to perform their best, take responsibility for tasks and assignments, make decisions, and provide input on possible improvements.
• Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system to ensure that any unusual behavior or emergency situation is dispatched to appropriate personnel for investigation and recorded.
• Record or notify dispatch officer of any unusual circumstances, safety violations, employee safety issues, or unresolved safety work orders in order to ensure potential problems are corrected.
• Handle business interruptions and complaints, such as suspicious individuals, civil disturbances or demonstrations, noise complaints, intoxicated individuals, etc.
• Acting as main point of contact for the Security Department in the absence of Security Director and/or during his/her annual leave arrangement.
• Conduct a key control audit, including monitoring electronic key boxes, issuing and receiving all master keys, radios, and beepers and keeping accurate records to ensure the safekeeping of these items.
• Contribute in maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA standards at all times.
