Securities Lending Associate in UK

The Operations team are set up to offer a hybrid working model with the option to work in the office or at home at the candidates choosing.

The position requires that candidates be detail orientated, able to work timely and accurately within deadlines and possess good problem-solving skills.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills as they will be working with borrowers and custodians in locations both in the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities of day-to-day operational support include, but are not limited to:

• Accurately processing and monitoring securities transactions in international markets.
• Reconciling and researching contract breaks between each borrower / lender relationship.
• Ensuring all client positions are fully collateralised through market-to-market processing and collecting / returning collateral as necessary.
• Assist recalls department regarding settlement of client portfolio transactions as well as liaising with the cash management department for investment of cash collateral.
• Make suggestions for the improvement of settlement efficiency and control

QUALIFICATIONS:

We are seeking a candidate with two to three years related work experience.

This experience could have been gained in another Lending Agent, Borrower, Triparty Custodian or Vendor servicing the securities finance industry.

Candidates must be detail orientated; have excellent oral and written communication skills; be capable of managing multiple projects; and possess good problem-solving skills.

Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word) and should have previous experience and/or proficiency in financial markets.

Advanced Excel skills are desirable.
