Section Engineer£375 – 425 per dayBased in Pentir, Wales Long term contract – 6 months rollingI am currently recruiting for a Section Engineer to work on a major civils project based in North Wales a great project with opportunity of long term work and with a Tier 1 contractor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards.
Supervision of assistant engineersEnsure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the worksProvide accurate and clear setting out for worksCommunicate with foremen and gangers to ensure full understanding of information providedArrange formal checking of setting outComplete inspection and test plansKeep accurate daily site diary.
Preparation of 4 weekly programmesProvide accurate measurements for materials requiredMaintain material reconciliation figures for reportingProvide assistance to the measurement departmentMaintain survey booksTake receipt of materials and perform checksREQUIREMENTS:Degree educated in a civil engineering discipline, or equivalent experienceExperience in engineering, piling, drainage, earthworks, RC, heavy civil worksExperience dealing with RAMSPrevious major project experiencePrevious Tier 1 contractor experienceHold a degree in Civil Engineering or equal experienceIf this Section Engineer position is of interest to you, please apply with an updated copy of your CV and one of the team will be in touch with further details.
