This work would suit NQTs looking to get more teaching experience before commiting to a post, or an experience teacher that wants to slow down and step away from a permanent post.

To be a great supply teacher in secondary you will need to be flexible to the needs of the school.

Whilst a school can take into account specialisms, there will often be elements of teaching various subjects, so being open to deliver lessons based on the timetables will be key.

With supply work you can flex up or down depending on the amount of work you want.

Whilst access to a car would be desirable, use of public transport is fine, as long as you are happy to spend some time commuting i.

e 45 mins.

We are looking for; - QTS and relevant teaching qualification - Confidence in delivering lessons, especially those outside your specialisms - Good with classroom management and able to tackle behaviours commonly seen when it comes to supply teaching - Good communication skills and able to handle your calendar effectively - DBS on the update service is required to work with children so you can either have one already to hand or be willing to apply for one Zen Educate offer a great platform to manage your supply work get in touch to talk more about what is on offer
