Science Technician in London

Position: Science TechnicianLocation: Westminster, LondonStart Date: September 2024Contract: For the full academic yearTradewind Recruitment is seeking a Science Technician for a secondary school in Westminster, London, starting in September 2024. This role will run for the remainder of the academic year.Responsibilities:Prepare and set up lab equipment and materials for science practical lessons.Support teachers and students during practical sessions, ensuring safety and efficiency.Maintain and organize lab resources, including chemicals, specimens, and equipment.Perform routine maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.Assist with inventory management of science supplies and equipment.Adhere to health and safety regulations in the lab environment.Requirements:Previous experience as a Science Technician in a school or as a recent science graduate.Strong knowledge of lab procedures and safety protocols.Familiarity with handling chemicals, specimens, and scientific equipment.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.Salary: £13.00 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience.This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a school community and inspire young scientists!
