They are looking for an experienced Finance Officer committed to providing a highly effective and efficient administrative function to their stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to broaden their experience across a range of finance areas.

The role is full time Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Following are some of the responsibilities for this role:

  • To be a point of contact with parents for all fee queries and related matters
  • Preparation of termly invoices for academic fees and extras such as lunches and wrap-around care, adhering to strict deadlines
  • Working with the Admissions Department to maintain an accurate pupil roll
  • Liaison with the Admissions team, Database Manager and Office teams on the process to create new pupil records in SIMS (the school's pupil database)
  • Reconciliation of bills to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Assisting with the processing of purchase order and payment of invoices
  • Keeping accurate records of pupils opting for lunches, and updating the catering team of lunch numbers every half term
  • Ensuring the Admissions Register (pupil database) is maintained in compliance with ISI regulatory standards
  • Assisting in delivering the project to move to electronic invoicing

  • Previous experience working with School database software (SIMS) is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of Finance systems and processes preferred
  • Outstanding organising and anaytical skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK - this is essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. A warm and engaging telephone manner
  • Competence in standard office software (Word, Outlook and Excel) essential
  • 2 proven relevant experience
