They are looking for an experienced Finance Manager committed to providing a highly effective and efficient administrative function to their stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to broaden their experience across a range of finance areas.

The position requires Part-time availability, 20 hours per week, 08:30am-12:30pm, Monday-Friday.

Following are some of the responsibilities for this role:

  • To maintain systems to facilitate effective financial control within the school
  • To assist in the preparation of budgets
  • To facilitate the payment of authorised invoices
  • Maintain the school's financial and accountancy systems
  • Liaise with the school's payroll provider regarding the correct payment of staff salaries, including the administration of claims for travel and overtime
  • Ensure that the school obtains best possible value for money from suppliers and contractors
  • Manage school fund account, ensuring all income is accurately accounted for and receipts given for cash

  • Experience of finance and administration in a similar school sector environment
  • A sound knowledge of financial management and accounting procedures
  • Ability to identify work priorities and manage own workload to meet deadlines whilst
  • ensuring that lower priority work is kept up to date
  • Competence in standard office software (Word, Outlook and Excel) essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively with persons at all levels
  • Eligibility to work in the UK - this is essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • 2 proven relevant experience
