Gecko Travel Recruitment are thrilled to be working with this wonderful travel company based in London who are recruiting an experienced Sales Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.
As Sales Team Leader you will be looking after a small team of travel consultants, you will manage and motivate your team to maximise sales from initial leads through to closing, ensuring clients a memorable expereince and become a returning customer.
As a hands-on leader, you will take personal responsibility for the teams performance.
Proven track record of managing high-value sales consultants/specialists gained from a luxury or experiential tour operator is essential to be considered for this role.
The role:
- Lead the sales team with enthusiasm and confidence, motivating them to not only meet and exceed targets but also to thoroughly consider client needs and offer creative itineraries
- Providing exceptional sales and outstanding personal service to our clients through your team of specialised travel experts
- Manage the performance of each individual team member, adapting and changing your management style to drive the best results from each of them
- Work closely with the Head of Sales, Head of Operations and IT, team leaders and Product managers for on-going training development of your team
- Ensure a consistently high service is delivered to all clients, whether by phone or email, and pro-actively manage any inconsistencies
- Collaborate actively with your tailor-made specialists to generate new leads and bookings from existing clients, fostering an environment where specialists are encouraged to build their own robust repeat-client database.
- Be involved in the recruitment and induction of new team members
You will have:
- Previous experience in managing high-value sales consultants within a luxury tour operator (short haul or long haul)
- In depth knowledge of luxury, tailor-made travel
- Ability to inspire, motivate and develop a sales team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence to deal with clients and colleagues and the ability to build trust and loyalty
