MacGregor Black is partnering with a Luxury UK-based Wine & Spirits company to recruit a Sales Director . This permanent role is based in London , and requires flexibility to travel as needed.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop, initiate, and implement the company's sales strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives and brand integrity.
  • Maximise overall sales performance, driving revenue growth across On-Trade, Off-Trade, International, and Travel Retail channels.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse global sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retail partners to secure and expand distribution networks.
  • Oversee the negotiation of commercial agreements, ensuring profitable terms and strong partnerships.
  • Work closely with senior management to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, optimising current resources and justifying additional investments when needed.
  • Manage the sales budget, including forecasting, monitoring pricing strategies, and implementing cost-saving measures to ensure profitability.
  • Conduct market research, analyse competitor activities, and adjust sales strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to bring brand plans to life, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across all sales channels.
  • Regularly review sales performance, utilising sound commercial data to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.


What are we looking for?


  • Extensive experience in a senior sales leadership role within the luxury wine, spirits, or champagne sectors.
  • Proven track record in creating and executing successful sales strategies, with a strong focus on new business development.
  • A robust network of high-profile industry connections and an in-depth understanding of luxury market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and financial management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to upholding the highest ethical standards.
  • WSET or equivalent wine qualifications are highly desirable.
