Job Title: Sales Director

Location: North West

Salary: up to £75,000 basic salary plus bonus & benefits package

Role: Permanent

Our client is seeking an experienced, dynamic and entrepreneurial Sales Director to devise, develop and implement business and client development strategy. This business is fast becoming a market leader and has impressive history of growth, with big plans for the future. Their success is driven by a culture of collaboration, where the team are actively encouraged to share ideas, take ownership and be active in the development of new and existing revenue streams. We’re looking for a hands-on Sales Director to with a proven track record of optimising business revenue by leading through example. As a devising strategy for the overall sales process and being active in the implementation of the business development strategy. As a key part of the Senior Leadership Team you will have opportunity to be part of strategic direction and long term growth plans of this enterprising and progressive business.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Currently a Sales Director or Head of Sales looking for a step up, with demonstrable experience implementing strategic business development planning
  • Commercially astute with proven a track record of building, developing and managing a successful sales team
  • A creative thinker with strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • A forward-thinking leader with exceptional new business and existing client development skills with is able to lead by example
  • Excellent work planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience within environmental services, construction, building materials or a similar sector

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the sales strategy within the company
  • Management of end-to-end sales process, alongside the Senior Leadership team
  • New Business development, client development and account management strategy
  • Forecasting, growth planning and ensuring sales/revenue targets and other KPI’s are met
  • Attend prospect meetings and client review meetings, represent the business at events, industry conferences, networking events and other external meetings
  • Recruiting, training and managing key hires
  • Contribute to driving a culture of continuous improvement across the business
