Sales Administrator

Biosite is currently undergoing the implementation of a new CRM system, Salesforce, which is intended to improve the efficiency of the business’s sales and order management processes, building consistency in the data and knowledge we have on customers and the orders they place with us.

We are hiring an entry-level Sales Administrator to provide additional administration support to the team as we go-live with Salesforce. The role requires someone with aptitude to work with new systems and a strong concentration to ensure attention to detail.

The position will report directly to the Sales Administration Manager and is an office-based role at the Biosite head office in Solihull (West Midlands).

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and supportive team. Training and career development will be provided to the right individual.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Handling customer enquiries and correspondence via email and telephone.
  • Producing and amending quotations for the Sales Team and customers.
  • Receiving and processing customer orders.
  • Providing administrative support to our Sales and Commercial Team.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by maintaining and updating sales and customer records.
  • Complete any ad-hoc administrative tasks.
  • Promoting a positive customer experience.
  • Assist the management team in reporting performance and conducting data analysis to support decision-making.
  • Key working relationships (internal and external)

  • Sales team for quotes, orders and reporting
  • Finance team (particularly Sales Ledger) for data integrity.
  • Customers for quote or order clarification from time-to-time
  • Person Profile: Essential qualifications, experience, knowledge and behaviours

  • Administrative and data entry experience.
  • Experience working with in a customer focused environment would be preferred.
  • Competent IT (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Motivation and ability to learn tasks quickly and work as part of a team.
  • Good communication and relationship skills.
  • Good organization skills to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
  • Ability to handle change in a fast-paced environment.
