Retail Assistant in Hermitage

Job Introduction

As a weekend retail assistant with Sodexo at Denison Barracks in Hermitage, you will supervise the day-to-day retail business in our convenience store! Your and your team's role is mostly customer-facing, and you will interact with our Armed Forces personnel every day, improving the quality of life for all that you meet. What you’ll do:  

• Ensure the completion of all requested or contracted tasks, and motivate your team to effectively ensure these are completed in a timely and thorough manner.
• Communicate efficiently about stock management with your team and keep on top of scheduled deliveries. 
• Take charge of monitoring team activity, coordinating daily actions, and assisting customers.
• Champion new ways of working within the store through an open mindset and positive attitude.
• Ensuring the team is proactive with supporting offers, promotions, and any loyalty schemes
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store and facilities.
• Ability and confidence to challenge customers who look under 25 when buying restricted items

What you bring:

• Supervisory-level experience 
• You'll set a great example for the rest of the team with your hands-on mentality, enthusiasm, and passion for delivering a fantastic customer experience.
• You are not afraid to take the initiative when the retail manager is absent. 
• You know how to play a part in creating a great team that shares your passion and vision to make every customer's experience outstanding. 
• You have experience opening and closing a store or key holder.

• Saturday 9:45am till 2:15pm
• Sunday 3:45pm till 8:15pm
