Job overview

Applications are invited from individuals with a research governance background and sound knowledge of clinical research management to join the Joint Research Management Office (JRMO). The JRMO is a joint office which manages clinical research on behalf of Barts Health NHS Trust and Queen Mary University London (QMUL). This is a very busy department within the JRMO working with our researchers to ensure the Research Management and Governance objectives of both organisations are met.

The post is based at the Joint Research Management Office, Barts Health, Dept. W, Mile End Road

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject and have substantial R&D experience. You will have experience of clinical trials in the life science sector and have knowledge of the governance and legislative framework for conducting and sponsoring clinical research studies, including Good Clinical Practice. Knowledge of current national systems and structures for the approval, management and monitoring of clinical research in the NHS is essential as are excellent communication skills and the ability to prepare and deliver presentations and reports to a high standard.
