Research And Development Scientist in Oxford

CK Group are recruiting for a Synthetic Organic Research & Development Scientist to join a chemistry company at their site based near Oxford on a full time, permanent basis.

They now have an opportunity for an R&D Scientist with organic synthesis experience to join their dynamic team of scientists and commercial experts. A rapidly growing organisation, you will have the opportunity to drive the development of their R& D programs. The Research Scientist will work in a fast-paced team environment and this role would suit a pragmatic, enthusiastic scientist with excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail.

The company offers a salary in the range of £38,000 - £48,000 depending on experience as well as pension, death in service benefit, income protection scheme and 25 days holiday.

The Synthetic Organic R&D Scientist will be based at the company's site near Oxford.

Organic Synthesis Research Scientist Role:

Your main duties will be to:

• Plan and execute research & development projects with a strong organic synthesis, crosslinker synthesis and new product development.
• Assist in customer trials for product demonstration and technology transfer to drive the creation of new customer relationships.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:

• Proven industry experience outside of an academic environment working in the field of synthetic organic chemistry - essential, preferably in the field of materials or polymers.
• Knowledge of polymer science with an understanding of the relationship between chemical structure and physical properties - essential.
• Designing tests, writing reports, interpreting data, ^presenting findings to internal and external contacts - essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to conduct theoretical and experimental investigations - essential.
• Experience in working with coatings, films, resins, or dispersions - desirable.
• Experience in working with customers and conducting product demonstration or manufacturing trials - desirable.
